Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Medical-Surgical contract. You will work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a guaranteed 36 hours per week at $2,502 weekly pay.

Role Responsibilities:

• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Provide direct patient care to adults with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Typical patient ratios of 1:6-7 on nights
• Chart using EPIC system
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday rotation

Scheduling:

• Night shifts only: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Contract eligible for up to 36 hours of low census unbillable time, typically in 4-hour increments

Requirements:

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Additional Information:

• Travelers on the MAP unit do not take pediatric patients
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Contract begins November 30, 2026
