Emergency Room RN Job in New Braunfels, TX

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital New Braunfels is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week, on a full-time basis for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026.

Your Role

You will practice independently in the emergency department, managing routine and complex nursing care for assigned patients. Using the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—you'll address the physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in acute and critical situations. Your responsibilities include administering medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness, and documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. You will assess patient and family learning needs and provide education accordingly. When appropriate, you'll make assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Texas or a valid compact license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification

Compensation

You will receive $2,115 per week for this position.
