ED Registered Nurse Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This is a 98-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a 3x12 night shift schedule. Weekly pay is $1,814.40.

Role Overview

You will work in a large, high-acuity, non-trauma emergency department averaging 165–175 patients per day across 74 beds. Your patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics, with a standard ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends. The facility holds both Stroke and STEMI Certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Minimum 3 completed ER travel contracts (candidates with 1–2 assignments will be screened)
• Epic charting system experience (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous charge experience
• Community hospital experience
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience

Key Clinical Skills

Triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, intubation, BiPAP/CPAP management, arterial line management, chest tube management, CVA, STEMI, stroke, neuro-trauma, traumatic brain injury, psychiatric holds, violent behavior management, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance, and isolation precautions.

Scheduling & Time Off

Every other weekend is required. Floating is rare but may occur within facility and scope of practice. Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission. Spring Break blackout: April 4–12. Holiday expectations: if 1–2 major holidays fall within your assignment, you work both; if 3 or more, you work 2 of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
