Emergency Department RN Job in Watertown, NY

Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with a 36-hour weekly guarantee and $2,679 weekly pay.

Assignment Details

• 13-week duration starting November 11, 2026
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
• Lethal dysrhythmia exam completion and defibrillation certification within six months
• MEDITECH experience
• Travel healthcare experience

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department setting
• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Apply nursing principles and deliver quality patient care
• Recognize safety issues and assess appropriate use of patient lifts
• Function effectively in high-stress environments with strong problem-solving ability
• Assume charge nurse duties as required
• Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills

Required Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient care standards
• Ability to remain composed and problem-solve creatively under pressure
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and writing skills
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
