Med Surg RN Job in Parkersburg, WV

You'll join WVU Camden Clark Medical Center as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit, working 3x12-hour night shifts. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 7, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,224.

About the Unit

The Med Surg unit carries a medical stroke specialty focus and flexes up to 35 beds with an average daily census of 26–28 patients. You'll manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 with support from 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). The unit handles a diverse patient population including those with COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow such as thyroidectomy procedures. You'll also care for post-TPA stroke patients and lower acuity cases.

What You'll Need

• Current RN license (BSN not required)
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Valid, unexpired driver's license to submit with your application
• NIHSS certification or stroke experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred

Assignment Details

Weekends are scheduled as part of your rotation. The facility is willing to wait for your license if needed. This assignment allows for a cancellation policy of up to 2 shifts per 13-week period (or 1 shift for assignments shorter than 13 weeks).

You'll work nights on a unit with strong clinical support and the opportunity to expand your stroke nursing skills in a structured environment.
