PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend
• Guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week - discuss with manager
• Float required within scope to like units, ICU, and observation area as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratios of 3:1 for IMC and 4:1 for medical/surgical observation
• Care for a variety of medical patients including those with respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients
• Provide telemetry monitoring and management for patients with medical, surgical, and renal needs
• Perform arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips and ventilator patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize Cerner for charting
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White or combination
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of in-specialty experience required
• Strong IMC and/or ICU experience required
• WV or Compact RN license required
• Block schedule requests considered - discuss during interview
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA), NIHSS, FIT test
