PCU RN Job in Sun City West, AZ

Banner Del Webb Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This position offers three 12-hour day shifts per week and a contract duration of 89 days, starting December 7, 2026. You will earn $2,559 per week.

As a PCU RN, you will provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients requiring telemetry monitoring and general medical care. You may float between Banner Del Webb Medical Center and Banner Boswell Medical Center campuses as needed. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care for each patient
• Addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Reviewing patient history and diagnostic results, reporting abnormalities to physicians
• Formulating and implementing care plans with attention to discharge planning
• Coordinating and delegating healthcare team activities
• Working within a universal bed model with varied schedule assignments
• Documenting all nursing activities accurately and timely in patient records
• Supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel in patient care activities
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching

Requirements:

• Current valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months in the specialty area
• Demonstrated clinical performance competencies appropriate to the PCU setting
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
