PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available
• 36 or 48 hour contract options available
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend required
• Weekday shifts with float required
• 3:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• 16-bed Intermediate Care Unit caring for a wide variety of patient diagnoses, both chronic and acute
• Patient population includes cardiac, pulmonary, renal, GI, sepsis, mostly medical with some surgical cases
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Must have telemetry experience, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and ventilator management
• Special equipment includes lifts and bed and chair alarms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• WV or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
• Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
