Telemetry RN Job in Lees Summit, MO

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in our Telemetry unit at BJC West - Saint Lukes East - Lees Summit. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 day shifts per week
• $2,042 weekly pay
• 8 weekend shifts required within each 6-week scheduling period
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks; cancelled shifts match your regular shift length
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; community hospital background required
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Travel experience required; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• BLS, NIHSS, ACLS required; CPI preferred
• 1:5 patient ratio

Clinical Skills & Competencies

• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, rapid response team activation
• Post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, IV starts, heparin protocols
• Cardiac drip management (non-titrating), vasoactive drips (non-titrating), PCA administration
• Feeding tube care, hemodialysis pre/post management, renal failure care
• Blood product administration, chest tubes, surgical drains, tracheostomy management
• External CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation
• CVA care, wound care, wound vacs, isolation precautions
• Sheath removal, port access, phlebotomy preferred

Patient Population & Diagnoses

You'll care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, chest pain, vascular/peripheral vascular disease, intermediate care needs, sepsis, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, suicidal ideation, and GI bleed. You'll manage pre/post catheterization patients and femoral line/groin site care.
