PCU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Road in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel nursing assignment with a 3x12 night shift schedule over 89 days, beginning October 26, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,541.

As a PCU RN, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, including discharge planning
• Delegating and supervising licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Documenting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participating in unit or facility shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precepting and mentoring staff, students, and other personnel

You will work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays, with float responsibilities per department guidelines.

Requirements: You must hold a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. A minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience is required, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months. A bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred. You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently, and may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
