Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract options available
• September start dates available
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required with obligation to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Self-scheduling model with manager accommodating requests as best as possible
• Work across all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Care for patients across age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
• Must be competent in use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Must be proficient in a wide range of respiratory therapy skills including CPAP, BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, high frequency oscillator and jet ventilator, nitric oxide, tracheostomy care, intubation assist, and interpretation of arterial blood gases
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP, VA State License
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia license required; pending license accepted provided temporary license can be obtained before start date with another active state license
