PCU RN Job in Mesa, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel nursing role offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to expand your clinical experience in acute care.

Position Details:

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Duration: 89 days
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,559
• Location: Banner Baywood Medical Center, 6644 E Baywood Ave, Mesa, AZ

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural considerations
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Participate in shared leadership, education, and orientation activities
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in acute care within the past 12 months as an RN in the specialty area
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions competency due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in PCU or related specialty
