Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide individualized, holistic nursing care to patients in an acute Med Surg/Telemetry setting
• Conduct patient and family assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Monitor patient care interventions, assess therapies, evaluate outcomes, and intervene as warranted
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate daily patient care plans
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members based on legal scopes of practice and individual capability
• Accurately document and update all treatment information in the patient's electronic health record (EHR) using Epic
• Serve patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg/Telemetry required
• Travel experience required
• Previous Epic charting system experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid California RN license required
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, heparin protocols, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care/management, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway management, BiPAP/CPAP management, PCA management, starting and maintaining IVs, peripheral line care/management, accessing/managing ports, surgical drains, feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, CVA management, and use of rapid response/code teams
