Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with a patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• No on-call required
• Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license
• Average daily census of 10 patients across 12 beds
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Required skills include but are not limited to: Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Unit, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP), Epicardial Pacing Wire Care and Management, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, IV insulin protocols, Acute Kidney Injury, Chronic/Acute Renal Failure, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Shunts/Fistula Care, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, CVA/Acute Stroke management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Fresh tracheostomy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Ventilator Management, and Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Patient diagnoses include: STEMI, Complex Heart Failure, Post Code, Complex cardiac with device support (Impella/IABP), LVAD patients 1 year post implant, and complex medical patients
• Special equipment experience required: CRRT, Impella, and IABP
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
• Patient age groups served: Adults and Geriatrics
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
